I'm loving the looks at New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 so far and we're seeing some MAJOR trends start to emerge and I'd have to say that the Military inspiration, high ponytails, and red tones. Military inspiration is seriously taking over the runway this year with almost every designer giving us a little taste of the strong shoulders, epaulets, grommets and big buttons in their collections—anyone from Jason Wu to Tommy Hilfiger. The editor in Chief of Marie Claire, Johanna Coles said in an interview that quote, "Military is easy to wear, it smartens your outfit, it chic-ifies outwear and it's a good color range of neutrals that are flattering." The next trend that I'm TOTALLY digging from the runway is the sleek high pony tail. Models across the board are slicking their hair back into a sharp defined pony and you can totally get this look with a little bit of gel, a lot of hairspray, and maybe some clip in extensions if you need a little added length. And I can't walk about NYFW trends with talking about the RED we've been seeing! Donna Karan, Betsey Johnson, Jason Wu, name a designer and they're probably show casing some red in their Fall 2012 presentation. The red is bold, fierce and really channeling how the fashion world is feeling right now. I'm Brianna Baxter for Daily Style. Wardrobe Provided by Forever 21.
